About the Inspiration

I’ve noticed that after watching films, sometimes I go back, watch the credits roll, and become inspired by how many different jobs and roles there are to creating the film. After a while, I desired my name to roll on those credits, and ever since I’ve taken every chance and opportunity to get there. I’ve studied many behind the scenes of different films and I’ve learned to appreciate the time put into the work that filmmakers do, the effort never fails to motivate me. Being a black young woman has taught me several things about who I can strive to be like, who supports me, who my ancestors were, and who I can be. I feel that through film, I can share my experiences while simultaneously sharing knowledge.
